Restrict your search to a specific site : To find information on a specific site and only inside this site, you can use this syntax : [query site:http://www.domainname.com]

Similar pages : Find pages that are related to a result (web pages with similar or close contents and topics)
Example : The syntax "similar pages" for Ford.com finds Generals Motors, Chrysler, Toyota,...

Of course, you can combine the 2 syntaxes inurl and intitle . Example :
allintitle:green inurl:green : Restrict the results to documents containing the word "green" in the title AND in the URL.

Search for a word inside a non-HTML file formats including PDF documents, Excel, Word and many others.
: pdf (Adobe PDF), xls (Excel), doc (Word), ppt (Powerpoint),...: ). Type filetype:[extension of document]

Check a word or query spelling

Financial informations : firms, corporations...To get stock and mutual fund information (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX) : Type the company name or the ticker symbol (ex: SNE for Sony Corporation)

Find street maps in USA : if you want to find streets maps locted in USA , enter a U.S. street address, including zip code or city/ state (Ex : 125 Bell Houston TX or 125 Bell 77022-2009, US). Often, the street address and city name will be enough (125 Bell HOUSTON).
